How Crickslab Digitalised Kuwait Cricket Club with Cricket League Management Software

Cricket League Management Software: Kuwait Case Study

Kuwait Cricket Club plays more domestic cricket than most countries of its size. On a busy weekend, there are around 30 matches. In a full week, there can be more than 50.

Since December 2020, every one of those matches has run on Crickslab’s cricket league management software. A scorer records each ball on a phone at the ground, and that one live score feeds the Kuwait Cricket Club app, Match Central, the live streams and the social media posts.

This case study covers where Kuwait started, what Crickslab built and how six seasons on one platform changed the way the game is run.

About Kuwait Cricket Club

Cricket in Kuwait is driven by its expat community, with players from South Asia and other cricket playing nations. That makes it one of the busiest expat cricket leagues in the Gulf.

Company sides like Almulla Exchange and Toyota TGS play alongside community clubs like Khulna Royal Bengals and Cochin Hurricanes. Most of the cricket is packed into weekends at Sulebiya Cricket Ground.

Cricket in Kuwait was already strong on fan engagement before Crickslab. Kuwait was Asia’s regional winner for ICC Digital Fan Engagement of the Year in the 2020 ICC Development Awards. The next step was putting every domestic match online, not just the headline ones.

The Goal: Cricket League Management Software for a Packed Calendar

When the partnership was announced, Director General Sajid Ashraf told the Arab Times that cricket in Kuwait sees about 30 matches on a given weekend and more than 50 in a week.

At that volume, paper scorebooks hold everything back. Results reach players days later, nobody has a reliable season record, and fans who are not at the ground cannot follow.

Kuwait wanted one cricket league management software platform that could:

Score every match live, from the ground, without extra staff. Give players and fans one app under Kuwait’s own name. Put results, stats, streams and social posts out without anyone retyping a number.

The Partnership: Announced in March 2022

Kuwait Cricket Club did not sign first and test later. Its first competition, the Kuwait Cricket Club Finals, was scored on Crickslab from 17 to 26 December 2020. Kuwait then ran its operations, player stats and broadcasts on the platform for about six months before anything was announced.

In March 2022, the partnership went public and the Kuwait Cricket Club app went live on iOS and Android. It was covered by the Arab Times and ProPakistani.

“We have always had a vision of digitalizing cricket to engage our audiences,” said Haider Farman, President of the Kuwait Cricket Association. “It is a great honor for us to join Crickslab on their journey towards cricket digitalization.”

Iqbal Sikander, Development Officer for ICC Asia, put it more simply: “With Crickslab technology, we are entering a golden age of cricket.”

The Cricket League Management Software Crickslab Built for Kuwait

Kuwait runs five Crickslab products, and all five read from the same live score.

The Kuwait Cricket Club app. Players and fans use an app published under Kuwait’s own brand on iOS and Android. It is a white label app, with Crickslab underneath and Kuwait Cricket Club on the front. Players join teams, score matches and follow their stats. Fans follow live scores and watch streams.

Domestic cricket live scoring. Every match is scored ball by ball on a phone at the ground. The Arab Times reported that any domestic cricketer in Kuwait could run a live match from their phone. The live scoring record becomes the scorecard, so there is nothing to type up afterwards.

Match Central and player stats. Every competition sits on Crickslab Match Central with fixtures, live scorecards, points tables and leaderboards. Every ball adds to a player profile. Ashraf told the Arab Times that the batting, bowling and fielding data helps coaches with selection.

Broadcast graphics and live streaming. For streamed matches, the score bug, batter and bowler cards and scorecards come straight from live scoring. Live streams go out with the graphics on screen. In 2022, Ashraf said the platform gave access to over 90 graphic overlays and that the finals drew more than 50,000 views.

Social media automation. When a match ends, Crickslab’s social media automation turns the result into posts, scorecards and standings graphics for Instagram, Facebook and X. With 30 matches on a weekend, it is the only way every result gets its own post.

In the Ramadan Trophy, Almulla Exchange B won the Gold Final by 7 wickets and Khulna Royal Bengals won the Silver Final by 12 runs. Both finals were scored live, ball by ball.

What Cricket League Management Software Changed in Kuwait

Scorecards are done at the last ball. Nobody collects scorebooks or types up results after the weekend.

Every match is public. Not just finals. All 99 matches of the 2026 season sit on Match Central for anyone to follow.

Players have a record. Runs, wickets and catches build into a player profile across seasons, and coaches use that data for selection.

Fans watch from anywhere. Streams carry live graphics, and the 2022 finals passed 50,000 views.

Social media keeps up. Results turn into posts without a designer working through the night.

The platform has lasted. Six seasons on the same platform is the strongest proof. A league stays when its software keeps up, season after season.

Cricket League Management Software for Other Associations

Kuwait’s model works for any league with a packed calendar, especially in the Gulf, where expat cricket leagues play most of their cricket at weekends.

One app under your own name. Live scoring on a phone at the ground. Every competition on a match centre, not just finals. Streams with graphics from the same score. Results that turn into social posts on their own.

Qatar took the same platform to national level. Read how Qatar cricket went digital, or see the tools leagues use on manage associations.
