About Qatar Cricket Association
The Qatar Cricket Association runs cricket in Qatar. It was founded in 1980, joined the ICC in 1999 and is a member of the Asian Cricket Council.
It looks after domestic leagues, the national teams and grassroots cricket, including youth and women’s programmes.
That is a lot of cricket for one association to manage, and it needs one system to hold it together.
The Goal: Cricket Association Software That Does It All
When QCA signed with Crickslab, its leaders were clear about what they wanted.
General Secretary Khalid Saleh Al Rumaihi spoke about digital transformation in sport, and about showing how much cricket matters in Qatar. President Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Saoud Al Thani said the partnership would help set new standards for cricket across the GCC.
For an association, that means three jobs done in one place:
Run the domestic season: registrations, teams, fixtures, scoring and results. Put every match in front of fans, live, with the score on screen. Give players and fans one official app for scores, streams, stats and news.
Most associations do these jobs with separate tools. Spreadsheets for fixtures, a scoring app for matches, a streaming service for video, a separate website for news. Nothing talks to anything else. Crickslab’s cricket association software puts all of it on one record.
The Signing: August 2024
On 1 August 2024, QCA and Crickslab signed a digitisation partnership at the Qatar Olympic Committee building in Dafna, Doha. The screen behind the table read “Qatar Cricket Digitalization, Powered by Crickslab”.

Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Saoud Al Thani and Khalid Saleh Al Rumaihi signed for QCA. Crickslab CEO Nadeem Akhtar signed for Crickslab and said the aim was to give Qatar cricket technology that helps players develop.
The agreement covered live scoring, cricket management, player performance analytics, live streaming, ground booking and real time match updates. A week later, the Qatar Tribune covered the signing.

The Cricket Association Software Crickslab Built for QCA
A QCA branded platform. QCA runs on Crickslab under its own name. Through our turnkey white label solution, players and fans see Qatar cricket, not a third party brand.
The Cricket Qatar app. QCA’s official app is live on the App Store and Google Play. Fans get fixtures, live scores, match analytics, news, a media gallery and featured players. Players get their own player profiles, squad invitations and career stats.
Competition management. Every QCA competition is set up in Crickslab’s tournament management system: teams, squads, fixtures, points tables and leaderboards, all on Match Central.
Live scoring and streaming. Matches are scored ball by ball, and the same score drives the live stream overlays on QCA’s own YouTube channel.
Ground booking. Clubs and teams can book grounds inside the same app, so fixtures and venues are planned in one place.
All of this is one system. A player registered once shows up in the squad, the scorecard, the stream graphic and the leaderboard without anyone typing the name again. That is the difference between cricket association software and a stack of separate tools.

Rolling Out Cricket Association Software in Qatar
August 2024. Partnership signed in Doha.
Early 2025. The Cricket Qatar app goes live on iOS and Android, and the domestic season moves onto Crickslab. The QCA Cup 2025 runs on Match Central from January to May.
March 2025. The QCA T10 Ramadan Cup 2025 plays 49 matches, every one scored live on Crickslab. Matches are streamed on QCA’s YouTube channel with live score overlays, like this Mavericks vs Hilti CC game. Fireox Unit CC beat Al Asnad by 9 wickets in the final.
Through 2025. The app gets regular updates: better squad pages, player invitations, match detail views and bowler statistics.
What Cricket Association Software Changed in Qatar
QCA now runs its cricket from one system instead of many.
Domestic competitions are set up, scored and published in one place. Players and fans have one official app for scores, streams, stats and news. Every match leaves a record: scorecards, player stats and leaderboards that build season after season. Everything carries QCA’s own name and brand, not a third party’s.
With Qatar and Kuwait both on Crickslab, two Gulf associations now run on the same platform.

Cricket Association Software For Other Associations
Qatar shows what an Associate Member can do without building its own tech team.
The same setup works for any association that wants its own branded app, a live domestic season and every match streamed with the score on screen. It works for Gulf associations, for associate nations in Europe, Africa and the Americas, and for provincial and regional associations inside bigger boards.
