Cricket Broadcast Graphics by Crickslab

Best Graphics For Every Level Of Cricket.

T Sports, Bangladesh's first sports channel, has run its cricket broadcast graphics, live cricket overlays and TV studio controller on Crickslab since February 2022, across more than 1,000 matches.

The channel carries the Bangladesh national team, the Bangladesh Premier League, the Pakistan Super League, ICC events and a full calendar of domestic and regional cricket, alongside football, hockey and tennis. It streams through tsports.com and its own app.

That domestic and regional cricket is where Crickslab comes in.

The challenge

A national broadcaster is judged on how the picture looks. In cricket, that means cricket TV graphics that keep up with every ball. A domestic match has to look as good on screen as an international one, and it has to be ready in minutes, not days.

Before Crickslab, the T Sports team was working with standard streaming platforms. In their words, those platforms “are not very good. They don’t give us a lot of flexibility.”

What they needed was simple to say and hard to find in one product:

Graphics, overlays and scoring on one Crickslab feed

Good graphics, built for cricket. Overlays that update themselves from the score. Reliable scoring that feeds the graphics ball by ball. Player photos, team badges and sponsor slots the crew can manage without a designer on call.

What Crickslab runs for T Sports

League Management. Every competition T Sports covers lives in Crickslab first: teams, squads, fixtures, player profiles and photos. That is the data every graphic draws from, so a name is spelt once and appears correctly on every overlay.

Livestream Overlays. The scorer taps a ball and the overlay updates. Score bug, batter and bowler cards, projected score, current run rate, this over, fall of wicket, milestone cards like a fifty with fours, sixes, deliveries and strike rate, and full screen scorecards. Sponsor logos sit in their own slots.

TV Studio Controller. In the production room, one operator drives every graphic from a single controller layout. Wickets, milestones, comparison graphics, replays and full screens fire from one screen, in sync with the live feed. When the controller layout was updated, the T Sports crew ran the new version on air straight away.

What changed

Domestic cricket looks like international cricket. In Shawon’s words: “Everything in one place. The graphics is in place, the overlays are over there, and of course the scoring. It looks very television like.”

One system instead of three. Cricket scoring for broadcast, graphics and league data used to be separate jobs. Now the scorer, the graphics operator and the league admin work from the same data.

Four years, 1,000+ matches. T Sports started on Crickslab in February 2022 and has broadcast more than 1,000 matches on it since, across domestic and regional cricket.

The crew notices upgrades. After the controller update, Parves Ahmed Sabbir, Special Correspondent at T Sports, sent this to the Crickslab team:

“We also appreciate the Crickslab Software Development Team for introducing this new controller layout. We found it very smooth, user friendly, and much better than the previous version. The new layout makes controlling the graphics more convenient and efficient during live matches.”

Why it matters for other broadcasters and boards

If you produce cricket for television or streaming, the T Sports setup is the standard package: league data, live scoring and broadcast graphics from one platform, driven by one operator.

The same platform powers the Pakistan Cricket Board’s match centre, Kuwait Cricket, the Qatar Cricket Association and the Italian cricket federation.

Four lessons for cricket broadcasters from four years with T Sports

Broadcaster plans start at $29 a month. Studio and Broadcast plans add the full overlay pack, keyboard shortcuts, multi camera graphics control and dedicated production support.

Frequently asked questions

What does T Sports use Crickslab for?

Three things: league management, which holds every competition's teams, squads, fixtures and player photos; livestream overlays that update from the live score; and the TV studio controller, which lets one operator fire every graphic during a live match.

How long has T Sports been using Crickslab?

Since February 2022. More than 1,000 matches have gone on air on it since, across domestic and regional cricket in Bangladesh.

How do Crickslab broadcast graphics update during a live match?

The scorer records each ball once. The score bug, batter and bowler cards, projected score, run rate, milestone cards and full screen scorecards all read from that one record. Nobody types the score into the graphics by hand.

What is a TV studio controller in cricket broadcasting?

The screen in the production room that one operator uses to fire graphics during a live match: wickets, milestones, comparison graphics, replays and full screens, in sync with the live feed. On Crickslab it runs from a single controller layout.

Can other broadcasters get the same setup as T Sports?

Yes. It's the standard Crickslab broadcaster package: league data, live scoring and broadcast graphics from one platform, driven by one operator. Broadcaster plans start at $29 a month.
