South Africa stuns India in a run feast in Delhi
. . .-100 . . . . . div , , p . , . , South Africa has kicked off the three-game T20I series against India in a stunning manner. Coming into this contest, India had victories in their last 12 T20Is and were eying a world record. At the halfway mark, the men in blue looked in control, but South Africa showed class and authority to record their best ever T20I run chase. Winning the toss, South Africa decided to bat first, but things didnrsquot go as per their plans. Right from the word go, Indian batters looked on a mission as they smashed both pacers and spinners to take control of the game. While Ishan Kishan top scored with 76 runs, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pantrsquos contributions came in handy. Afterwards, Hardik Pandya gave an excellent finish to help India reach 211 runs in their 20 overs. The Proteas couldnrsquot start their innings well as skipper Temba Bavuma was removed quite early and even Quinton de Kock couldnrsquot score big. However, all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius provided an early impetus having scored 29 off 13 balls. Later, the middle-order batters Rassie van der Dussen (75 off 46) and David Miller (64 off 31) stood against all the adversity to take South Africa right back in the game. It still looked a difficult task in the end as the tourists needed 56 off the last 4 overs. However, both the players tormented Harshal Patel and Bhuvneshwar Kumar to get 44 off 2 overs and tilt the balance entirely in South Africarsquos favor. Miller, for his power-packed performance, was also adjudged as the player of the match as South Africa took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.nbsp
