Bengal took the heaviest scalp. Delhi made 240 and 277. Bengal replied with 429. The chase of 89 was a formality. Abhishek Porel scored 149 and Sudip Kumar Gharami 133, and between them they settled the match on the second day.
Gujarat beat Odisha by 10 wickets after a first-innings 439. Vidarbha set Puducherry 291 and bowled them out for 130. Maharashtra defended 248 against Services, who folded for 120. Haryana needed 71 and lost three wickets getting them.

Eight matches were drawn. Jharkhand made 587 against Kerala, the highest first-innings score of the round. Karnataka and Andhra also split the points, with Karun Nair unbeaten on 155.
Thirty-eight teams, two tiers
The Plate group matters here too. Manipur chased 228. They got home with three wickets standing. CricTracker reports that Arunachal Pradesh were deemed to have forfeited their fixture against Nagaland. That costs a developing side four days of competitive cricket it cannot easily replace, and it is the kind of gap associations notice long before a selector does.
Round two follows on 18 October, according to CricTracker. The early table already separates the sides collecting full points from those that will spend the winter chasing them. For state associations, round one is also a fixture-load test. Four innings defeats mean four grounds that lost a day of gate revenue and a day of pitch use.
