Qasim Akram aims emulating Babar Azam’s success

The right-hander has managed to produce immaculate consistency in all the three forms of the game, which is evident from him averaging 45.98 in Tests, 59.18 in ODIs and 45.52 in T20I cricket. Not only that, having scored 65 half-centuries and 23 tons in international cricket, his stature has grown immensely in the cricketing world. With such a record, it is very natural to see him turning out to be an inspiration for the next generation of cricketers. Same is the case with the former Under-19 skipper of Pakistan who goes by the name of Qasim Akram and eyes to become a major star, same as the current leader of the national team. In a recent interview, the enterprising all-rounder was found landing accolades on Babar Azam as Qasim added that he wants to become an impactful player like his senior. In fact, he wants to become the next Babar of Pakistan. The aggressive cricketer also spoke of his experience with Babar as he played under the leadership of the right-hander for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which is Pakistanrsquos premier domestic T20 competition. ldquoBabar has performed wherever he has played and I continue following his batting skills. I also feel unfortunate to share the dressing room with him.
