Muthoot Fincorp Named BCCI Title Sponsor Until March 2028

Muthoot Fincorp is the BCCI title sponsor for India's next two home seasons. The rights run through 31 March 2028. They cover roughly 35 home internationals. The first match under the deal is the India versus West Indies ODI in Thiruvananthapuram on 27 September.
The company replaces IDFC First Bank, which held the rights at a reported 4.2 crore rupees per match.
Terms of the Muthoot Fincorp deal
The BCCI set a base price of 4.85 crore rupees per match. MediaNews4U and MyKhel both report that the final commercial value is expected to land below that base, and the board has not confirmed the agreed figure. CricTracker reported the 4.85 crore rupees figure as the per-match value.
At the base rate, 35 matches would value the two-season block at roughly 170 crore rupees. The agreed number is expected to sit under that. The board has published neither figure.
Associate partner slots around the title sponsorship run to the same March 2028 horizon. SBI Life, Campa and ChatGPT hold those, according to MediaNews4U and MyKhel.
A tender that drew no bids
The tender closed on 13 August without a competitive bid at the base price. The board then went into direct conversations with a shortlist that included Google Gemini, Spinny, SBI Life and the incumbent IDFC First Bank. Muthoot Fincorp emerged from that process. SBI Life stayed in, one tier down, as an associate partner.
The base price sat about 15 percent above what IDFC First Bank had been paying per match. That gap is the clearest figure on the record against an empty tender.
The inventory on sale
Title sponsorship of an India home season is sold as a block of home internationals rather than as a single event. The two-season package breaks down as follows.
- 10 Tests
- 12 ODIs
- 13 T20Is

Thiruvananthapuram opens the cycle
West Indies play three ODIs and five T20Is in India from 27 September to 17 October. That is eight matches inside three weeks. CricTracker lists the ODIs on 27 and 30 September and 3 October, with the T20Is running from 6 to 17 October. The opening ODI is at Greenfield International Stadium.
Almost a quarter of the two-season inventory is therefore played before the end of October. The rest is spread across the Tests and the second home summer.
For state associations and venue operators, the title sponsor sets the branding template that every host ground works to. Boundary boards, sightscreens and presentation furniture all follow it. A two-season term gives them a fixed reference point through to March 2028, rather than a fresh rebrand each summer.
