. . .-100 . . . . . div , , p . , . , Australia have commenced their long tour of Sri Lanka with a commanding victory. The hosts were bossed in the opening game of the three-match T20I series as Australia recorded an emphatic 10-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in Colombo. Winning the toss, the Aussies had no hesitation in deciding to bowl first. The Islanders had an impressive start as they mustered runs impressively. After exactly 11.5 overs, they were 100-1 and in sight of posting a gigantic total for Australia to chase down. However, their batting story after it was a picture of disappointment. From 100-1, they were reduced to 128 all out inside the 20th over of the game. That means Australia managed to get 9 wickets of the host team at a mere expense of 28 runs, thereby turning the face of the game in a jiffy. In particular, Josh Hazlewood continued his emergence in T20 cricket as the adroit pacer picked 4 wickets for 16 runs. From there on, it was Australia who were all over the contest and openers made sure that this dominance continued. Smashing the Sri Lankan bowlers to all parts of the ground, they gunned down the total inside 14 overs with both skipper Aaron Finch and David Warner smashing unbeaten delightful half-centuries. It would now be interesting to see how Sri Lanka comes back in the second game after a dismal show in the first contest.
