Doull wants Williamson’s prolonged career at expense of Test captaincy

Making his debut way back in 2010, the right-hander has represented the national team in 87 Tests, 151 ODIs and 74 T20Is. Not only that, he has been a great captain who has led New Zealand to success in all the three formats of the game. However, renowned cricket broadcaster Simon Doull has recently advised Kane to give up Test captaincy, if that could help him prolong his career for New Zealand. The 52-year old has recently expressed this wish as he was found landing accolades on the Kiwi superstar. In fact, Doull added that the Headingley Test was the best time for Kane to quit leading in Tests as he sees Tom Latham as a worthy replacement. However, it must be added that the Pukekohe born wants to see Kane continue leading the national team in both ODIs and T20Is. ldquoI just donrsquot know about the longevity of Kane Williamson the captain.
