. . .-100 . . . . . div , , p . , . , Afghanistan has continued to fly high in Zimbabwe as they bossed the home team again after claiming victory in the first game of the three-match ODI series. With this, the rising cricketing action has sealed an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series with the last match becoming an absolute dead rubber. In the second game, Afghanistan won the toss and decided to have a go with the bowl first ndash a decision that actually paid off. Right from the word go, Afghanistan kept Zimbabwe under pressure by bowling tight channels. While Zimbabwe managed to counter attack the tourists for a while, they seemed to have an answer to every challenge. At 151-3, Zimbabwe was looking to post a very challenging total. However, the bowlers joined hands and almost all of them chipped in to restrict Zimbabwe to 228, which really looked a very mediocre total on that track. Fareed Ahmed picked 3 wickets, while Fazalhaq Farooqi, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan all contributed 2 wickets each. For Zimbabwe, Innocent Kia top scored, having mustered 63 runs. Craig Ervinersquos 32 and Sikandar Razarsquos 40 did help the scoreboard, but couldnrsquot do enough for their side. In return, Afghanistan lost an early wicket in the form of Rahmanullah Gurbaz. However, it was a smooth ride after that as Ibrahim Zadranrsquos spectacular century and Rahmat Shahrsquos composed 88 were enough to take their team over the line. As a result, the blue team registered an 8-wicket comprehensive victory.
